Modern smart phones and tablet computers typically incorporate multiple wireless services at different frequency bands ranging from FM radio to LTE. At the same time, an increasing number of designs utilize more than one antenna to enhance sensitivity and suppress cross-talk. Both trends place the miniature RF solid-state switches in an increasingly crucial role in smart mobile device RF front end designs. This paper will
give an overview of both high and low throw-count RF switches used in different circuit locations in a typical mobile device design, and discuss how each performance specification and design feature will impact on the overall performance of your system. In addition, this paper will dive deeper inside each RF switch module and reveal current and future trends in core RF switching technologies.

It’s a simple fact. Qualified sales leads are the lifeblood of any sales organization. So why are so many leads ignored or underutilized?

In this paper we will make the case for three possible changes in your thinking:

• Sales and marketing organizations are better served by spending marginally less on lead generation and more on the process of lead management.

• All sales leads are not created equal — identifying “sales-ready” leads is a critical step in the lead generation and management process.

• Leads that are not sales-ready today can be nurtured and cultivated to be sales-ready in the future.

Forsk announces new WiMAX and LTE ACP (Automatic Cell Planning) modules in Atoll, in addition to the existing GSM/UMTS ACP. Forsk now offers a complete range of fully integrated AFP and ACP tools for GSM/UMTS, WiMAX, and LTE.

Atoll ACP modules enable operators to automatically find the best network settings and improve the network quality both in terms of coverage and capacity.

The Atoll ACP targets at both initial deployment and existing network optimisation. For initial deployments, the Atoll ACP allows operators to select the optimal site locations and antenna parameters. The Atoll ACP also helps improve existing networks through automatic optimisation of remotely configurable parameters.

Atoll WiMAX ACP is commercially available as part of Atoll 2.8. Atoll LTE ACP will be available to users in Q3 2009.

These new products are in-line with Forsk’s strategy to deliver, through Atoll, a comprehensive RF planning and optimisation software solution to wireless operators and vendors. Atoll also is an open and flexible platform that supports the largest 3rd party software offering on the market.
